Gastroenterology Physician

Department : Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Location : VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno, NV Position Type : Full-Time Overview : The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Gastroenterologist to join our dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive gastroenterological care to our nation s veterans and contribute to improving their health and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities : Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for veterans with a variety of gastrointestinal disorders. Perform routine and advanced gastroenterological procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring continuity of care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care. Engage in health promotion and disease prevention activities for the patient population. Participate in the training and supervision of medical residents and fellows, contributing to their professional development. Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with VHA guidelines and policies. Qualifications : U.S. Citizenship is required. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state or territory. Experience in both outpatient and inpatient gastroenterological care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for serving veterans.
