Job Title- ENTRY Phlebotomist I
Location- Largo, FL
Duration- 6+ Months
Shift / Time Zone : Monday through Friday 6 : 30a-3 : 30pm
This is an Entry position into Phlebotomy so candidates must be willing to learn this skill.
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
- The PSR I draw quality blood samples from patients
- and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
- The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Maintains require records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
Job Requirements :
Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tabletBe willing to learn Phlebotomy skills when there is downtime or breaks that need to be coveredOnce Phlebotomy skills are obtained, to perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.HIGH LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS ARE REQUIRED - this is critical to the heart of the roleRequired Education :
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIREDMedical training : medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).Work Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years of client facing customer service REQUIRED (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.).Prior Phlebotomy experience is NOT requiredKeyboard / data entry experience a must.Phlebotomist, Phlebotomy, Phlebotomist Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Mobile Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, Technician, Certified Phlebotomy Technician
