RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a skilled Design Engineer specializing in utilities to join their team in Lake Como, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing utility systems for various projects, including water supply, wastewater management, and electrical distribution. The Design Engineer will br responsible for the due diligence investigations as well as preliminary design and engineering analyses for the water and wastewater utilities to support various types of retail, commercial, industrial and residential site projects.

Responsibilities :

• Review municipal zoning and land development ordinances and applicable agency regulations to determine land development limitations for the property
• Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports to include the review of ordinances, utility service research, outside agency regulations and site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines
• Prepare Conceptual Utility Plans
• Design of Utility Systems Design Plans
• Prepare construction cost estimates
• Project coordination with client, other consultants and project team for the purpose of preparing a comprehensive site plan application
• Perform calculations related to pumping systems and hydraulics for various unit processes at water and wastewater facilities
• Prepare technical reports including water and sanitary sewer reports
• Prepare written correspondence to outside agencies, client, and contractor
• Perform other duties as assigned
