Responsibilities Position is in the Operating Room at a short-term acute care teaching hospital Level I trauma center with 11 ORs handling primarily high-volume ortho, trauma, spine, neuro and all other specialties, with minimal peds cases Patient ratio is 1 : 1 during surgical procedures Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00 Weekend shifts required as needed, usually every third weekend No on-call responsibilities No floating required for this assignment Blocked scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed EMR system : Cerner; Cerner charting experience required Scrubs are provided for all OR staff Team environment with opportunities for charge nurse responsibilities First-time travelers are welcome to apply Free parking is available on site Must work at least 2 out of 3 holidays; RTO beyond 5 days or during holidays requires unit manager approval Return travelers ineligible if they cancelled a previous contract within 10 days of their start date Candidates who have worked as permanent, PRN, or EP staff at this health system must wait 12 months before reapplying as a traveler Orientation includes 6 hours of online modules completed in the first week Requirements Active and unrestricted AZ RN license or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience required Level I trauma OR experience required; may consider candidates with recent Level II trauma experience in similarly sized or larger facilities Demonstrated experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro cases (including craniotomies) Two professional references required prior to start, with one from the most recent employer within the last year All required compliance documents and testing must be completed prior to start Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-605184.
