Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you will care for a diverse and complex patient population :
Post-operative patients after craniotomies for bleed evacuations, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgery cases.Patients experiencing hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases.As a part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , our unit offers exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and advanced care.

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.Anticipate and respond to significant changes in patients' conditions promptly.Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Ensure patient safety by identifying and mitigating risks.Promote teamwork and effective communication among healthcare team members.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.Licensure and Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Education and Experience Required :
Completion of an accredited nursing program.Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Strong orientation toward holistic patient care.Proficient in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.Diverse knowledge in managing patient safety and regulatory compliance.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.Physical Requirements :
