Must-Have :
- Previous charge nurse experience.
- Experience in a patient ratio of 5-6.
- Proficiency in charting systems.
Description :
This position involves providing care to patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
You will work with a daily census of approximately 35 patients.
The unit has 38 beds and utilizes interdisciplinary support services.
Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.
Common patient diagnoses include stroke, pneumonia, diabetes, renal failure, and PE / DVT.
Special procedures performed in this unit may include peritoneal dialysis.
Required skills include blood product administration, colostomy care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and telemetry monitoring.
Additional skills include IV starts, phlebotomy, wound care, and isolation precautions.
You will be responsible for administering medications, including insulin and heparin.
You are expected to participate in rapid response and code teams as necessary.
The role involves collaborating with diverse healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Your commitment includes working every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Scrubs in ceil blue color are required; personal scrubs must be provided.
This role demands a strong nurse who can handle a fast-paced environment effectively.
Previous experience in a similar clinical setting is essential for success in this role.
