Senior Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in providing financial insights and driving strategic decisions within our organization. Based in San Diego, California, this position involves budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and creating actionable recommendations for leadership. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can interpret complex financial data and collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and oversee annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Analyze monthly financial results, identifying and explaining variances compared to budgets and forecasts.
  • Create and deliver financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support strategic initiatives and uncover opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Enhance and maintain financial models to facilitate scenario analysis and business case development.
  • Partner with the Accounting team to support the monthly close process and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to inform decisions and guide special projects.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by leveraging advanced analytics and reporting tools.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or similar roles.
  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and interpreting business performance metrics.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Oracle is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Highly analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in high-growth or private equity-backed organizations is preferred.
