Responsibilities Position located in an Intermediate Care Unit (step-down / PCU) within a tertiary care hospital 26-bed unit caring for adult, acute care patients requiring continuous pulse oximetry and telemetry monitoring Shift is 4x12 hour nights (19 : 00-07 : 00) with every other weekend required Assignment length is 13 weeks Expected patient ratio of 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 for MedSurg Patients require specialized care such as airway management, BIPAP support, titrated IV infusions, central / arterial line monitoring Must float as needed within the hospital EPIC charting experience is required Care for a wide variety of acute adult patients requiring intermediate step-down level care Perform IV therapy, peripheral line care, and non-invasive respiratory support Adhere to isolation precautions and participate in multidisciplinary team care Scrub color is any combination of navy and white First-time travelers are accepted Return staff must wait at least 1 year before reapplying Time off requests must be declared prior to assignment start Requirements Active NY RN license in hand required Minimum of 1 year RN experience Current BLS certification required Demonstrated experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and emergency response EPIC EMR experience required Locals must live at least 75 miles from facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640073.
