Overview
The Los Angeles County Probation Department (LACP) is seeking experienced Deputy Probation Officers II from outside LA County to join the largest probation department in the nation. Be part of a team that's transforming lives, reducing recidivism, and creating healthier, safer communities.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and guide probationers toward positive behavior change
- Investigate and evaluate adult and juvenile cases
- Monitor compliance and recommend actions to the court
- Prepare reports and recommendations for dispositions
- Mentor youth and adults while upholding public safety
New hires spend one year in juvenile halls to learn LACP practices.
