Ten (10) years of related experience
Certification in two or more of the following areas :
o MCSE, MCSD, MCTS, CCNA, Java, Linux, Oracle
Experience as technical lead for a major technology implementation
Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions integration projects preferred
Advanced and broad technical knowledge of IT Hardware and Software systems
Knowledge and experience in security assessments
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely at multiple levels between business and IT staff
Ability to motivate and inspire. A large part of the job is to influence or evangelize a set of ideals in the enterprise.
Ability to negotiate. There will be times at the decision-making table when an EA must negotiate to get things accomplished.

Position Summary
The Enterprise Architect ("EA") is responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their lower level components. The EA is also required to interpret, use and apply information contained within IT architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of IT support systems. The EA is expected to ensure that the overall IT systems architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality. The primary role of the EA is to ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organization's technology and governance strategies, policies and standards.
Essential Job Functions
Directs the overall IT / technology architecture activities.
Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture.
Manages, uses and maintains IT / technology architecture models.
Researches overall IT solutions on the market for particular requirements and business needs.
Manages 3rd Party vendor relationships with respect to due diligence and implementation activities. Applies particular emphasis to 3rd party packaged solutions and / or cloud solution offerings. Recommends for / against particular 3rd party solutions.
Implements the strategy for the development of IT / technology architecture work.
Conducts and / or actively participates in meetings related to the designated projects with clients and / or partners.
Recommends and participates in the analysis, evaluation and development of enterprise long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the architecture objectives are consistent with the enterprise's long-term business objectives.
Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and up-coming vendor products and solutions.
Establishes and leads Architecture Working Group(s) for the development and maintenance of the Company's overall IT applications architecture.
Collaborates with all relevant parties in order to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and determine conformance with the EA. Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level.
Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in any Proof of Concept projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption.
Identifies implementation risks and analyses potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives.
Recommends and participates in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies.
Education / Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Design or Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred
Certification in Project Management is a plus

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of the wireless infrastructure business. Knowing the industry in which you work is essential, to help you understand how the technology can really affect the business. Being in tune with the business gives EAs much-needed credibility.
Ability to think in terms of process is essential for an EA. Building repeatable and reusable processes as both as artifacts from the work they do to how they work themselves.
