POSITION SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for assuming leadership in clinical affairs at a particular CHN Center; supervises other providers at that Center and teams with the Center Director to manage medical operations at the Center
JOB FUNCTION :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Reviews and interprets medical history data and continually updates this information as necessary.
- Works with Human Resources to periodically review the EHS policies & procedures.
- Oversees the complete and appropriate medical examination on all employees as outlined in the agency’s EHS Policies and Procedures Manual; this includes a physical examination for initial and annual assessments.
- Facilitates related services for health agency employees as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
- Interprets all laboratory data. Reviews and initials all abnormal laboratory reports; orders appropriate / additional laboratory tests and referrals or follows-up as indicated.
- Reviews all problem cases to determine course or management or treat referrals for consultation.
- Meets with EHS staff periodically to evaluate efficiency and quality of client services.
- Consults with the Vice President, Medical Affairs / Medical Director and Human Resources on a regular basis. Participates in monthly staff physician conferences, chaired by the Vice President / Medical Director, to discuss subjects of interest to staff physicians.
- Oversees the clinical operations of Employee Health Service.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR :
Medical degree from an approved Medical School.Current New York City license to practice medicine and surgery.Completion of residency training from an approved residency program.
