Unit Overview : You will join a 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , providing care for a diverse and complex patient population including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you will gain exposure to cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques.

Registered Nurse license issued by the practicing state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Completion of an accredited nursing program.Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate critical thinking, and adapt to changing situations. Proficiency in electronic medical records is necessary.
Physical Requirements : Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and pushing. Must be able to handle weights up to 50 lbs. and respond to emergency situations with speed and agility.
