IT Support Specialist
📍 Charlotte, NC (with occasional travel to Greensboro, Greenville, and Rock Hill offices)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you'll provide hands-on technical support for end users across multiple offices-ensuring that hardware, software, and network systems run smoothly and efficiently. This position plays a key role in maintaining our firm's IT infrastructure, supporting staff productivity, and upholding organizational IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new hire IT onboarding and intake setup
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for staff across Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and other business-critical applications
- Support desktop, laptop, and mobile devices
- Respond to and resolve Help Desk tickets promptly, maintaining detailed and accurate case documentation
- Perform Active Directory administration (password resets, account unlocks, group management, etc.)
- Conduct light hardware maintenance, diagnostics, upgrades, and repairs
- Monitor and deploy operating system updates and software patches
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for systems and deployments
- Stay current with IT developments and recommend hardware / software upgrades as needed
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Strong ability to configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows workstations, laptops, and tabletsProficiency in supporting Microsoft Windows 10 / 11 and Office 365 environmentsFamiliarity with networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP)Working knowledge of Active Directory administrationExcellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a geographically diverse IT teamFlexible availability, including occasional weekends or overtime as neededQualifications
3-5 years of experience supporting Windows desktops / laptops in a professional environmentRelevant certifications such as A+, MCP, or MCITP preferredExperience installing software, updates, and patches on desktops and laptopsProven ability to troubleshoot network, software, and hardware issuesStrong customer service orientation is essentialAudio / Video system experience is a plusAdditional Details
