Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play an essential role in keeping production equipment and mechanical systems running smoothly to support a leading coffee and tea manufacturer. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery and ensure that all operations meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair production and quality control equipment as needed.
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems, determine corrective actions, and perform necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks, document findings, and communicate issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of downtime, labor, and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and install electrical circuits (both low and high voltage).
  • Assist with building maintenance and inventory of repair supplies.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain compliance with all safety and food quality standards (SQF, GMP, HACCP).

    • Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of mechanical experience, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with HMI, PLC, and VFD systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and work independently.
  • Must supply own tools.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

    The base pay range for this position is $26-32 / hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
