Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and a current MA license for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a short term acute care hospital in the echo suite with two dedicated echo rooms
  • Position covers ICU, ED, inpatient, and outpatient cases with some portable exams required
  • Typical caseload is approximately 8 studies per tech per day
  • Day shift schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts weekly from 7 : 45 AM to 4 : 15 PM
  • No on-call or floating requirements
  • Uses Cerner for charting; Cerner experience preferred
  • Duties include performing echo scans in dedicated suites and portably throughout the hospital including ICU and for COVID+ patients
  • Work attire can be any color scrub
  • Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces or in the lot across the street
  • Previous staff must wait at least one year before returning as a traveler
  • Standard contract length is 13 weeks
  • Holiday coverage and block scheduling are not accommodated

    • Requirements

  • At least 2 years of Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer experience required
  • Current MA license in hand is required for consideration (license required if applicable)
  • BLS and other relevant certifications required
  • Cerner charting experience preferred but not mandatory
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Locals must live more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Pending licenses are not accepted
  • RTO requests for more than 5 consecutive days require approval
