Position Overview

A community-focused, Joint Commission–accredited hospital in south central Illinois is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join an established surgical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice broad-based general surgery in a supportive environment, serving a diverse patient population in a close-knit community just outside the St. Louis metro area.

Practice Highlights

Join an experienced General Surgeon in a busy practice

Bread-and-butter procedures with additional opportunities for scopes, breast surgery, wound care, and bariatrics

Optional half-day per week in a wound care clinic

No robotics; flexible OR schedule with no overnight OR runs

3 operating rooms with full CRNA coverage

Hospitalist program in place for inpatient support

25+ referring providers and strong community ties

Hospital Services

In addition to surgery, the hospital provides inpatient services in orthopedics, urology, internal medicine, and cardiology . Diagnostic and imaging services include CT, CTA, MRI, nuclear medicine, mammography, and SPECT scans.
