Genera l Characteristics : Perform basic redline drafting of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs). Supervision with specific and detailed instructions from the supervisor for day-to-day projects. This position reports directly to the Drafting Team Lead.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for drawings to have a professional appearance.
  • Required to accurately capture redlines assigned by the project lead.
  • Responsible for accurate back check of individual work against redlined documents.
  • Establish working relationships to maintain a positive and productive work environment internally.
  • Required to learn Kahuna and client specific drafting standards.
  • Ability to do basic 2D drafting utilizing AutoCAD® and CADWorx P&ID® pre-developed tools.
  • Basic understanding of P&ID symbology.
  • Must learn CADWorx P&ID® built-in and Kahuna developed functionality.
  • Accountable to immediate supervisor for receiving tasks.
  • Accountable to immediate supervisor for timesheet approval.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the workflow from beginning to end of a project.
  • Demonstrate ability to functionally communicate technical and administrative project / task details, including correspondence via emails and general documentation.
  • Organize and prepares drawings for delivery while maintaining security and confidentiality in a timely manner.
  • Must be willing to be flexible with your schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience :

  • Must be a motivated self-starter with initiative, drive and can work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must be detailed oriented; precise and organized in handling of drawings.
  • Solid organizational skills required; must be able to prioritize and multitask
  • High School diploma or equivalent required and / or community college drafting / CAD courses or previous experience with CAD.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD® 2-Dimensional drafting. Knowledge of AutoCAD® 3-Dimensional drafting is preferred.
  • Need to be able to take direction, learn standards and follow through with the SOP.
