The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data, scheduling required jobs and verifying data
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Files Federal, state and local tax documents by preparing property tax returns, state pages and Federal, state and municipal returns, extensions and quarterly payments
- Recommends tax strategies by researching Federal, state and local taxation issues
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Candidate must possess good interpersonal communication skills
- This job requires a vast amount of client contact; the candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks and sustain well under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer programs
- Exhibit leadership potential, sound judgment, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently
- Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
