Coda Search is excited to collaborate with a global Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company based in White Plains. This dynamic firm operates across a diverse portfolio of well-known and niche CPG brands. As part of their growth and commitment to excellence, the company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to oversee financial operations, drive strategic initiatives, and contribute to the company's continued success. The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the month-end close, day-to-day accounting operations, and preparation of consolidated financials for the company. Reporting to the Assistant Controller and Controller, this role will also provide support on budgeting, forecasting, and assist with the annual audit.
Base Pay Range
$120,000.00 / yr - $140,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Prepare the consolidated financial reporting package, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage the month-end close process, overseeing all items on the balance sheet and income statement.
- Manage the General Ledger (GL) and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly schedules and work papers for various balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring documentation is accurate and organized.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify significant variances and provide explanations for management review.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making and performance evaluation.
- Assist with the annual audit, preparing supporting documentation and addressing auditor inquiries to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, with prior Public Accounting experience desired.Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry or working with CPG clients is preferred.CPA certification required or actively working towards completion.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders.Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Seniority Level
