Carpenter
Responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using various materials including wood and steel. The role involves self-performing all aspects of carpentry such as rough, finish, steel stud, and cabinets.
Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.
Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
Utilize materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
Use chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
Check work to ensure it meets code and specifications.
Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment for accuracy.
Install cabinets and molding.
Create structures for pouring concrete.
Install partitions, doors, and windows.
3-5 years of commercial carpentry experience.
Ability to work with blueprints and instructions.
Proficiency in using carpentry tools and materials.
Capability to estimate dimensions and join materials.
Attention to detail to ensure work is up to code.
Work will take place in all weather conditions. The team typically consists of 6-8 members, sometimes expanding to 14-16. The dress code requires steel toe boots and pants. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats is mandatory. Typical working hours are 6 : 30 AM to 3 PM, with potential overtime based on project needs, and each site may have specific start times. Expect to work up to 10-hour days when necessary.
This is a contract to hire position based out of Mukwonago, Wisconsin. The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $39.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
