Serve as the primary point of coordination for both domestic and international relocation services for transferring employees. This role manages all aspects of employee relocations based on client policies, ensuring seamless transitions whether moving domestically or across borders. The consultant works in the best interests of both the transferee and client, maintaining the highest commitment to outstanding service and delivering an exceptional relocation experience.
Core Responsibilities :
Client and Transferee Management
- Contact relocating employees to review authorized services per client’s relocation policy
- Perform comprehensive needs assessment for each relocating employee to coordinate appropriate services
- Serve as the central point of contact for the relocating employee, the company, and all third-party service providers
- Manage all exceptions and maintain communication with corporate clients on transferee issues, resolution, and policy administration
- Provide quarterly and year-to-date reports as needed, with regular client communication
Domestic Relocation Services
Coordinate and manage home sale programs, including :Buyer Value Option (BVO) : assist with home marketing, evaluate offers, manage transactions, and ensure tax complianceGuaranteed Buyout Option (GBO) : arrange appraisals, present buyout offers, oversee marketing periods, execute company buyouts, and manage property inventoryCoordinate origin home sale closing dates, temporary housing needs, and home purchase closing datesAssist with lease cancellations when applicableInternational Relocation Services
Arrange and oversee international-specific requirements :Visas, work permits, and immigration paperworkCustoms clearance processesLocal orientation and school searches for family membersProvide cultural orientation and settling-in servicesAssist with repatriation as neededLogistics and Vendor Management
Coordinate household goods shipping and transportation for both domestic and international movesFollow up with suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of servicesManage communication between all parties regarding the relocation’s progressCompliance and Administration
Complete required audits to ensure compliance with IRS guidelines and international regulationsPrepare and manage relocation paperwork and letters of assignmentProcess allowance payments and handle expense reimbursementsLiaise with accounting to manage budgets and process vendor paymentsMaintain accurate records and data for all aspects of relocationRequirements
Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B. A.) or equivalent work experience required; Minimum of four years of Relocation and / or Real Estate experience is required;Strong communication skills : Excellent verbal and written abilities to communicate with diverse groupsProject management expertise : Ability to manage multiple relocations and deadlines simultaneouslyProblem-solving capabilities : Resourcefulness to handle unexpected issues in real-timeCustomer service focus : Dedication to providing positive and stress-free relocation experiencesAttention to detail : Essential for managing complex logistics and documentationKnowledge of domestic and international relocation best practicesUnderstanding of IRS regulations related to relocation benefitsFamiliarity with immigration procedures and global mobility conceptsBenefits
