Must-Have :
Associate Degree in Nursing is required
Bachelor Degree in Nursing is preferred
Description :
Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data.
Evaluate patients' responses and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes.
Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IVs, incision and wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
Provide patient and family education through assessment of learning readiness, needs, and abilities.
Recognize patients or designees as full partners in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for preferences, values, and needs.
Provide relationship-based care by striving to understand what is most important to the individual and actively engaging them in all aspects of care.
Deliver care that respects cultural differences and the diversity of human experience.
Delegate to non-RN personnel in accordance with state nursing board guidelines and hospital policy.
Effectively use time, personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
Serve as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional nursing processes.
Manage resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individual patient and unit needs.
Utilize standards of care, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice.
Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.
Precept and mentor new staff or nursing students as needed.
Seek learning opportunities and continuing education to maintain skills and competence in clinical practice.
Maintain professional records that provide evidence of competency and lifelong learning.
Evaluate integrity and nursing practice in relation to professional standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
Take action to achieve goals identified during the evaluation process.
Demonstrate a commitment through ongoing participation in hospital and unit-based meetings.
Understand the value of measurement and the importance of continuous quality improvement data.
Utilize quality measures to improve performance and accountability for patient outcomes and safe delivery of care.
