Job Purpose
This position provides an opportunity to become a key contributor to Voya Investment Management’s Insurance Portfolio Management Team, the focal point for stewardship and management of investment mandates for Voya’s growing insurance distribution channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with prospective and existing insurance company clients to define and understand their holistic investment needs.
- Design an investment solution that reflects each client’s unique requirements.
- Coordinate the investment activity and decision‑making of all Voya asset sector specialists across all public and private fixed income asset classes and alternatives.
- Direct and coordinate internal non‑investment expertise, including risk, tax, capital, legal, and accounting.
- Provide analytical and informational support to the investment strategy process, monitor and report on investment positions, and produce scheduled and ad hoc reports on portfolio position and performance.
- Respond to client information requests, prepare informational materials for weekly and monthly client communications, and create quarterly investment reviews.
- Help resolve any client‑related administrative and investment operations issues as needed.
- Assist in developing and executing proactive, creative ongoing initiatives intended to identify and satisfy evolving client needs.
Qualifications
7‑10 years of relevant experience managing investment portfolios for an insurance company (related work experience considered).MBA with emphasis in finance and accounting; CFA designation desired.Strong teammate, excellent verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, and analytical capabilities.Strong customer orientation and knowledge of public and private fixed income instruments and portfolio management.Knowledge of insurance company regulations, risk‑based capital, statutory and GAAP investment accounting, asset‑liability management, and total return attribution.PC skills and ability to use / learn analytical software.Compensation Pay Disclosure
Annual base salary range : $160,000 – $200,000 USD. Additional incentive opportunities (annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and / or long‑term incentives) based on performance objectives. Actual compensation may vary by location, experience, and education.
