Schedule : M-F, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Last patient at 4 : 00 PM to allow for administrative tasks

Weekend call shifts at Stafford location (15 minutes away)

Call weeks start Friday and end Thursday evening

Can leave after patients are seen during call week

Work Details :

Support Staff : Dedicated RN for locum, appointment coordinator

Coverage Needed : Full-time

Patients per Day : 15-18

20-minute follow-ups

40-minute new patient appointments

Patient Population / Age : Adult only

Department Description :

6 endocrinologists in the group

Each has a designated RN and appointment coordinator

No APPs

Need coverage due to upcoming maternity leave and MD relocating out of state

EMR System : Epic

Special Procedures :

80% diabetes management

Some thyroid and osteoporosis cases

No pituitary or adrenal surgeries

Diabetes ketoacidosis managed in ICU

Diabetic Educators : Located about 10 minutes away and very responsive

Locums to arrive 2 days before the first clinic and call shift

Board Certification : Required

State License : Preference for VA licensed candidates, but other licenses will be considered

DEA Registration : Required

Minimum Experience : 2 years
