Job descriptionHYBRID POSITION IN NORCO, CA Job Summary The Database Engineer leads enterprise-level development and optimization of secure database systems. This position architects complex SQL solutions, enforces development standards, and ensures performance and security compliance for mission-critical systems. As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities Lead schema and stored procedure architecture across systems Optimize high-volume queries and support large data migrations Implement data governance and secure development practices Guide development teams on best practices and reviews Coordinate with cybersecurity and IT for database security Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 6+ years of database development experience Advanced knowledge of SQL performance tuning and secure design Ability to travel to Norco, CA location 2-3 days per week U.S. Citizenship Active DoD Secret Clearance Ifapplicable : If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered Preferred Master’s degree or advanced database certifications Experience with cloud-native database environments (e.g., RDS, Azure SQL) Company Summary Join the VSolvit Team!
