Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health assignment in Alaska requiring at least 1 year of recent skilled hospice experience and an active AK OT license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Home Health setting servicing adult patients
  • Day shifts, 5x8 hours, typically 8 : 00–16 : 30
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Expected to visit up to 6 patients daily within a territory radius up to 100 miles
  • HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) charting system is used and proficiency is preferred
  • Free parking and standard IRS mileage reimbursement provided
  • Dress code is any color scrubs
  • Travelers are assigned their own territory
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • System minimizes drive times by grouping client visits within territories
  • All documentation tools provided must be returned at end of assignment
  • Must be able to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • Travel pairs are accepted, but each must have their own transportation and will be given individual territories
  • Former perm employees must have a minimum 6-month separation and be approved by HR to return

  • Minimum 1 year of recent skilled hospice experience within the past 3 years (inpatient experience not accepted)
  • Active OT license in Alaska and NBCOT certification required
  • BCLS certification required
  • OASIS experience required for those completing Start of Care (SOC)
  • Timely communication and documentation skills required
  • Active driver's license and personal transportation required
  • Completion of Hospice / Home Health Checklist required
  • Professional references from a supervisor within the last 2 years
  • Travelers must submit all requested time off at the time of application
