Job Opportunity

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment on a variety of job sites consisting of paving, grading, pipe installation, loading of trucks
  • Maintains housekeeping of job site and facilities, ensures equipment is in good working order
  • Performs routine inspection and preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment if within abilities; escalates issues that are not
  • Routinely assists other members of the crew as needed, including shoveling and cleanup
  • Fuel, oil and grease to ensure proper function of equipment and complete associated paperwork
  • Performs other related activities as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience
  • Valid / Clean Driver's License
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contracts
  • Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (excavator and loader experience preferred)
  • Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, grading, storm / sanitary / water pipe installation, etc
  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions

    • Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug / alcohol screen, and background check.

    • Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

    • Benefits

  • $36.00 per hour base pay. (PA DOL Prevailing wage pay based on work.)
