The Director of Intelligent Device R&D spearheads the research and development efforts for smart devices, playing a pivotal role in driving innovation and bringing cutting-edge technology to market. They are critical in ensuring that our company remains competitive and at the forefront of the rapidly evolving intelligent device landscape.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Direction : Defining and implementing the overall R&D strategy for intelligent devices, aligning it with the company's long-term business goals and market trends.
• Team Leadership : Building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, and promoting professional development.
• Product Development : Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, validation, industrialization, maintenance and support.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partnering with other departments including product management, manufacturing, quality assurance, technical support, sales and marketing to ensure seamless product development and launch.
• Innovation : Leveraging knowledge of latest industry trends, technological advancements (such as fast prototyping, sensor technologies, embedded systems, and connectivity (e.g., 5G)) and understanding customer needs to identify new opportunities and address potential challenges.
• Budget Management : Developing and managing the R&D budget effectively, allocating resources to maximize efficiency and achieve project goals.
• Intellectual Property Management : Advancing and maintaining our strong intellectual property portfolio related to new devices and technologies.
• Technical Documentation : Ensure proper documentation of hardware designs, including technical specifications, design verification and validation reports, and manufacturing process documentation.
