Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Attendant to join our team in supporting Physical and Occupational Therapists in providing high-quality rehabilitative care. The ideal candidate will assist with patient treatments, ensure a safe and organized therapy environment, and deliver exceptional patient support under the supervision of licensed therapists.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical and Occupational Therapists with patient treatments, including ambulation, bed mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), therapeutic exercises, and other care tasks.
- Transport patients safely to and from therapy sessions, ensuring proper body mechanics and transfer techniques.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness, adequate linen supplies, and availability of therapy equipment.
- Routinely sanitize and perform safety checks on all therapy equipment and modalities in accordance with departmental policies.
- Maintain accurate daily statistics, logs, and inventory reports; assist with ordering and equipment management.
- Support clerical tasks such as answering phones, organizing patient handouts, photocopying, and general office assistance.
- Participate in departmental meetings, in-service training, and skills competency testing.
- Collaborate as an active team member in problem-solving, program development, and special projects.
Required Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent preferredExperience : Minimum 2 years of recent Rehabilitation Attendant or CNA experience requiredCertification : Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (must be current)Skills :Experience working with patients in a healthcare or rehabilitation settingBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication, organization, and time-management skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environmentPreferred Qualifications
