Location : Vienna, VA

Description :

We are seeking American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters to support our software developers and engineers in meeting their mission requirements. Specifically, this candidate would help with in-house translations, facilitate communication among staff and customers, bridge the gap in customer communications (secure meetings), and work on a part-time, as needed basis . Though rare, there may be occasional travel for conferences and customer site meetings.

Candidates must reside within a 30-minute commute to our Vienna office to handle scheduled and ad-hoc onsite meetings as they may arise. Meetings take place Monday - Friday, typically between the hours of 8 : 00 am and 5 : 00 pm.

Candidates must undergo and pass a security clearance investigation before onboarding.

Required :

• Must be a US citizen (no exceptions) willing and able to be sponsored for a US government security clearance
• Must hold a BS degree in ASL, Communication, Psycholinguistics, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• Must have at least 1 year of professional experience working as an ASL interpreter

Highly desirable if the experience includes technical translations, such as working with software developers, technical engineers, and / or Math or Statistics bodies

The hourly wage range is : $38.46 - $60.10 per hour.
