Employment Type : Full-time, Contract (13 weeks, with potential extension)

Hourly Rate : $68 / hr

Position Overview :

Join a dynamic Acute Care / Academic Medical Center in Syracuse as a Critical Care Registered Nurse . Deliver high-level care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced skills and technology to support critically ill patients.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
  • Licensure : Active New York State RN License; Current BLS & PALS certifications (ACLS preferred).
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent Critical Care experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center.
  • Technical Skills : Strong EMR experience (EPIC proficiency essential).
  • Soft Skills : Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients.
  • Monitor and interpret complex patient data and vital signs.
  • Operate and manage specialized critical care equipment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team.
  • Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in EPIC.
  • Respond rapidly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Educate patients and families.
