Healthcare Setting : IMCU – Telemetry Unit

Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract (locum tenens)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025, End : 1 / 19 / 2026)

Shifts : Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days : 7 : 30am–7 : 30pm; Nights : 7 : 00pm–7 : 00am), 3 shifts / week

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratios : Days : 1 : 5; Nights : 1 : 6

Weekend Coverage : Required

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910 - $1960

Telemetry RN Qualifications

Active Pennsylvania or compact Registered Nurse license

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

NIHSS certification preferred

Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Must complete PA fingerprinting and Childline registration upon contract signing

Lab work required within 72 hours of signing contract

No local candidates (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Du Bois, PA)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with respiratory and cardiac conditions

Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patient safety

Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (no titration)

Perform IVs, central lines, PICC lines, and surgical drain management

Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy)

Utilize Cerner for electronic documentation and charting

Float to other hospital units as needed

Participate in weekend and rotating shifts
