Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join a dynamic healthcare team near Aredale, Iowa, for a rewarding locum tenens role. If you're committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting and are available for an extended locum assignment, this position may be a great fit.

    • Flexible 12-hour shifts (Day : 6 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM, Night : 6 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM)

  • Coverage

    • Scheduled shifts with optional on-call duties

  • Patient Load

    • 71 patients per day on average

  • Work Environment

    • Acute care hospital with advanced trauma capabilities (Level 3)

    Position Details :

  • Work Schedule

    • Up to 30 shifts per month

  • Both day and night shifts available
  • Holidays observed : New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
  • Team Support

    • Robust 30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage per shift

  • Patient Demographics

    • Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

    Requirements

  • Board Certification

    • BC / BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABPS accepted)

  • Licensure

    • Iowa license required or IMLC participation

  • Certifications

    • Required

    ACLS, ATLS, PALS (or APLS), MRT for adult and child abuse cases

  • DEA License

    • Required

  • Experience

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency medicine

  • Charting and EMR

    • Familiarity with Cerner EMR system

    Additional Information
