Primary Responsibilities

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing distribution center operations across multiple sites by applying expertise in Red Prairie / JDA / Blue Yonder Labor Management, time studies, AutoCAD, and Lean engineering principles. This role will play a critical part in improving efficiency, reducing operational costs, and enhancing overall performance within our distribution network. Actions should align with KeHEs Mission, Vision, and Values.

• Develops and implements labor standards, accurate labor forecasting, performance tracking, and workforce optimization by utilizing Blue Yonder or other labor management software.
• Conducts time studies to establish accurate baseline data for operational processes and identifies areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Utilizes AutoCAD to design and layout efficient distribution center floor plans to optimize space utilization and material flow.
• Maintains Engineered Labor Standards through : developing engineered labor standards for new processes and facilities; conducting time studies to update and validate standards (MSD / PST / MOST); managing existing standards and verifying methods; identifying improvements in methods, procedures, equipment, or workflows; conducting supervisor and employee meetings to review enhancements; maintaining LMS changes and complete records of all time studies or data used to change standards; maintaining Labor Standards to reflect changes.
• Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices in distribution and process engineering to proactively identify innovative solutions.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
