ACLS and CPI preferred Must-Have : Epic experience required Telemetry competency required Cardiac Telemetry experience required Previous charge experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Description : Position involves providing care in a stepdown ICU setting. The RN will work 3 nights per week following a 12-hour shift schedule. Ratios are 1 : 4 patients per nurse. The nurse will be required to work every other weekend. No on-call is required for this position. Floating between like units may be necessary to meet facility needs. Candidate must have prior experience in an acute care setting. First-time travelers are accepted for this role. Required certifications include Basic Life Support and NIH Stroke Scale Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Crisis Prevention Institute certifications are preferred. Hurricane season occurs from June to November, which may require emergency response. Essential skills include managing ports, administering blood products, and cardiac telemetry care. The RN will manage patients with various conditions, including those requiring ventilatory support. Additional duties may include assisting in post-operative care and management of telemetry monitoring. Candidates should be prepared for block scheduling requests, though approval is not guaranteed. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. Each shift cancellation by the facility may occur once every two weeks.
