Licensed Vocational Nurse I / II

Under direct supervision, learns and performs semi-professional vocational nursing work related to the care and treatment of patients in health services department clinics; provides assistance for professional and technical clinic staff in delivering responsible patient care; administers prescribed medications and treatments to patients under the direction of a Medical Doctor and established protocols; and performs related duties as assigned.

LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE I

Licensing and Certifications :

Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver's License.

Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in California.

Must be eligible for State Skilled Professional Medical Personnel (SPMP) classification as defined by 42 CFR PART 432.

Education and Experience :

Completion of sufficient education and experience to meet State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse certification requirements.

LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE II

Licensing and Certifications :

Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver's License.

Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in California.

Must be eligible for State Skilled Professional Medical Personnel (SPMP) classification as defined by 42 CFR PART 432.

Education and Experience :

Completion of sufficient education and experience to meet State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse certification requirements.

AND

One (1) year of full-time licensed vocational nursing experience comparable to that of a Licensed Vocational Nurse I with the County of Lake.
