Civil Project Engineer II / III - Traffic Analysis and Planning Group

Job Description

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II / III - Traffic Analysis and Planning candidate to join our Traffic Analysis and Planning Group located in our Richmond, VA office location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to :

• Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis;
• Bicycle / pedestrian / multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation;
• Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and / or utilizes computers in order to solve problems;
• Perform research and write objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work;
• Assist in the preparation of engineering planning schedules and cost estimates;
• Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties;
• Communicate with client staff and internal design team;
• Communicate results / recommendations to the general public.
