Leasing Consultant

Position Overview :

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a professional and customer-service-oriented Leasing Consultant to join a well-established property management team at an affordable housing community in San Jose, CA. This full-time, onsite position is crucial in representing the community to prospective residents, managing leasing and move-in processes, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the leasing office. Prior experience with HUD and / or LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) housing programs is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

• Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and provide detailed information about available units and community amenities.
• Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including application intake, eligibility screening, income verification, and lease signing.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current unit availability, property policies, and affordable housing program requirements.
• Assist with marketing initiatives, online listings, community outreach, and events to attract qualified applicants.
• Ensure compliance with HUD and / or LIHTC regulations throughout the leasing process, including documentation and income qualification.
• Accurately enter and maintain resident and applicant data in property management software.
• Respond promptly to resident and applicant inquiries, providing exceptional customer service in person, via phone, and by email.
• Assist with resident retention efforts, including lease renewals, community engagement, and addressing resident concerns professionally.
• Support the Property Manager and team with administrative tasks, compliance audits, inspections, and file organization.
• Follow fair housing laws and company policies at all times.

Additional Details :

Pay Range : $24 - $28 / hour, depending on experience
