Emergency Medical Technician (Non-Exempt)

Position : Emergency Medical Tech (EMT-B)

Location :   Mt. Vernon

Hours / Shift : Full-Time, 24 Hour Shifts

Sign-On Bonus : May be eligible for up to $2,000

Overview :

Performs direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support. The EMT may also perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required.

Job Duties :

• Operates an emergency vehicle, responding to emergency and non-emergency scenes and transporting patients to appropriate destinations.
• Ensures that the assigned ambulance and items of equipment are stocked, clean, maintained and ready to use.
• Assists in the assessment of the patient in order to promote optimal levels throughout pre-hospital care.
• Demonstrates proficiency in pre-hospital basic life support skills.
• Demonstrates appropriate radio communications including; fluency, organization, and accuracy.
