Job Description :
- The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA's) will be performing therapies, recording the notes of each visit, and following up with their patients.
- The SLPA will be empowered to build their schedule with a Supervisor and maintain it consistently.
- The SLPA will be given the tools (software / program) to facilitate the secretarial needs of their schedules (i.e., confirming appointments), and will be expected to have computer and smartphone literacy for this reason.
- Some traveling can be expected, as we also offer services not only at our offices but at the daycare centers and schools in the surrounding area.s
- The SLPA will meet with their Supervisor at least once a month and work on therapy strategies.
Education / Certificates :
B.S. in Communications Disorders, or a similar degreeLicense from the State of Florida.Note : Candidates without a valid license or no related courses on their resume will not be considered.
Skills :
English speakingBilingual (English, Spanish)Computer literacySmartphone literacy.Required Work Experience :
At least 1 year of working with children.Responsibilities :
