Job Description

  • Analyze and populate P&L Workbooks needed for race production and procurement.
  • Excellent commercial skills from negotiating complex contracts.
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and information to meet race schedule and ground crew expectation.
  • Interacts with production planners daily to resolve issues regarding race efficiencies or additional information as requested from ground crew, and finance.
  • Solicit bids, analyze quotations, select or recommend suppliers, and negotiate purchase agreements in concert with the highest quality at the lowest total cost.
  • Assist in the review of production budget and solicit recommendations from suppliers that will provide reduced lead times, lower cost and product improvements.
  • Travel to races / events as needed to review procurement process effectiveness, communication with build crews, and meet with suppliers.
  • May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and / or procurement environment.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate price, quality, delivery, and other terms with suppliers
  • Experience with sources of supply, markets, pricing, and commodity trends with ability to accurately predict / anticipate events and develop action plans that anticipate implementation changes in a Buyer or Senior Buyer roles.
  • Documented history of cost saving / cost reduction strategies in a Buyer or Senior Buyer Role.
  • Demonstrated history of accomplishments in a Buyer or Senior Buyer role.
  • Proven Supplier Management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
