Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position Summary :

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care to residents in an assisted living environment. This position is on a per diem basis, offering flexibility for the individual. The LPN will collaborate with the care team to ensure the highest quality of care for residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Medication Administration : Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, following all relevant regulations and protocols.
• Vital Signs : Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Wound Care : Perform wound care procedures, dressing changes, and monitor wound healing.
• Resident Assessments : Assist with resident assessments and evaluations, providing input on care plans.
• Documentation : Accurately document all patient interactions, procedures, and observations in the electronic medical record.
• Communication : Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and other members of the care team.
• Emergency Response : Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate medical assistance as needed.
• Compliance : Adhere to all regulatory requirements and facility policies and procedures.
• Teamwork : Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and supportive work environment.
