Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location : Anchorage, AK
Work schedule : Monday
Friday 8-hour shift
Payment : $65 per hour

Role Overview
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you'll evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, collaborate with healthcare teams, and guide families through care plans. You'll also mentor clinical fellows and contribute to staff training.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patients within 24 hours of referral and document delays if needed
Create and implement treatment plans with physician approval
Deliver therapy aligned with medical directives
Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants in direct patient care and patient related activities, following state practice act.
Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment updates
Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings
Educate caregivers and staff on therapy techniques and discharge prep
Ensure compliance with state practice acts and facility policies

Oversee CFY Speech Clinical Fellows
Support nursing staff with Restorative Aide training
Qualifications
Masters or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Licensed in the state of practice (or meet federal criteria if unlicensed state)
Completed clinical practicum and national SLP exam
Proficient in documentation systems like Casamba and Point Click Care
Certifications
Active state SLP license in good standing
Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, pushing / pulling, and communication
Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs occasionally
Occasional climbing, kneeling, and crouching
Strong visual and auditory acuity
Work Environment
