About The Role
Field Service Technician at SEW-EURODRIVE – USA focuses on providing technical assistance and troubleshooting of SEW-EURODRIVE electronic controllers and electro-mechanical equipment. The role involves frequent travel to customer sites and requires strong hands-on repair skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical assistance, troubleshooting, and repair of SEW-EURODRIVE products.
- Diagnose and effect repairs of electronic and electro / mechanical controllers.
- Catalog and maintain technical information related to SEW-EURODRIVE products and applications.
- Perform technical support over the phone as needed.
- Support field-bus communication and program modification for PLCs.
Qualifications and Experience
Associate's Degree in Electronic Engineering / Technology or equivalent.1–3 years' experience with industrial drives, AC variable-frequency and servo motor controllers.Knowledge of PLCs, DeviceNet, and Profibus preferred.Ability to read parts lists, catalogs, wiring diagrams, and service procedures.Proficient with multimeters, oscilloscopes, strip-chart recorders, and related test instruments.Benefits
