Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team! We have a position open rooming patients and in the shot room.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside other medical staff.
You will also be setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
- Rooming patients and obtaining and entering vital signs
- Entering information into EMR
- Injections (ID, SubQ, and IM) for adult and pediatric patients
- Getting patient ready for allergy testing, pulmonary testing, nebulizer treatment, and medication administration
- Performing FeNO, pulmonary functions test (PFT), peak flow, nasal smear, allergen skin testing, patch testing, oral food / medication challenges, allergen immunotherapy (AIT), oral immunotherapy (OIT), and phlebotomy
- Shot room specific - Injections (ID, SubQ, and IM) for adult and pediatric patients
- Shot room specific - wrapping ice packs, pulling and returning vials, printing labels, running reports
Qualifications
- BLS Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
