ERP Project manager

Overview

Position : Project Manager (ERP) — Location : Lansing, Michigan — Duration : 24 months.

Job Description : The role focuses on managing IT Enterprise Resource Planning projects with multi-vendor coordination and adherence to PMO practices. The candidate should demonstrate strong project leadership, communication with clients and executives, and experience delivering IT projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Advanced experience managing programs of projects, complex projects or multiple projects. Apply project management methodologies and exercise initiative and independent judgment.
• Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. Follows standard project management practices (e.g., PMI framework). Creates project charters, work plans, and tracks budget and schedule progress using appropriate metrics.
• Establishes project organization, defines roles and responsibilities, documents risks, develops mitigation plans, manages scope, and implements a communication plan. Builds an effective team and negotiates resources.
• Communicates to stakeholders and project sponsor. Identifies and resolves issues, and removes barriers. Provides technical support to project team members and handles complex application features and designs.
• Manages a group of applications / system analysts. Uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Professional certification is highly desirable.
• Oversees IT development projects using Agile / Scrum methodology, including virtual environments.
• Ensures project goals align with business and technical objectives, manages change control, and delivers within scope, time, and budget.
