Job Title : Quality Control Technician
Job Description
The Quality Control Inspection Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality standards before they are shipped to customers. The role involves monitoring various stages of production, inspecting products, and conducting basic tests to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. This position requires attention to detail, technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to maintaining product integrity.
Responsibilities
Inspect Products : Perform routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Specifically inspect power distribution products manufactured on all lines, according to inspection work instructions, to confirm the proper function of these systems and their electrical components, identify any product non-conformances, and ensure they meet customer specifications, safety, and quality requirements.
Testing : Conduct tests on materials and products using industry-standard tools, techniques, and equipment, including dimensional and torque checks.
Documentation : Accurately record inspection results, test data, and any quality-related findings. Maintain detailed reports for use by management and for compliance purposes.
Process Monitoring : Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and adherence to approved specifications. Identify potential issues and deviations early in the process.
Compliance : Ensure that all products and processes comply with internal quality standards, as well as applicable industry regulations and certifications.
Troubleshooting : Investigate and resolve quality issues by collaborating with production staff and identifying root causes. Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement : Participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggesting process adjustments to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
Calibration : Ensure calibrated and properly maintained testing and inspection equipment is used for quality functions.
Collaboration : Work closely with production teams, engineers, and supervisors to maintain quality standards throughout the production cycle.
Essential Skills
Electrical testing and inspection
Knowledge of quality control processes and techniques
Familiarity with inspection tools and testing equipment
Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret manufacturing documents, wiring diagrams, component literature, engineering drawings, and testing procedures
High level of accuracy in inspection and testing procedures
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is a bonus.
Previous experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment, ideally in the Manufacturing sector.
Knowledge of basic electricity, current flow, and component functionality is a plus.
Physical ability to perform duties, including standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment
The position is based in a brand new facility with approximately 200-250 people on site once fully staffed. The work environment is on a manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses, and the company provides long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves. The dress code mandates long pants made of thicker material, excluding leggings. The role requires standing or walking for long periods and the ability to occasionally lift 25–50 lbs. Work is performed on a rotating 2-2-3 shift schedule from 6 am to 6 pm, with initial training conducted during a standard Monday-Friday schedule.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 / hr.
