Respiratory Therapists follow AARC standards at St. Mary's Medical Center. They insert arterial lines, intubate patients and practice patient driven protocolized care. St. Mary's is a 310-bed hospital with 32 ICU / CVICU beds, 33 ED beds and 22 NICU beds. As the largest hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City, this level II trauma center gives RT's the opportunity to frequently work in critical care areas (including a level III NICU) and advance their careers in leadership roles within the department.

Required
Respiratory Therapist Eligible
This is intended as a temporary position only, with the expectation that employees advance to the RRT position as soon as possible. Employees cannot remain in the RRT-Eligible position longer than 3 months.
Provides respiratory care to patients designed to diagnose, evaluate, treat, manage, and control deficiencies and / or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system within the prescription of the order physician. RRT-Eligible may be responsible for special clinical projects or assignments as designated by leadership according to the needs of the department.
Respiratory Therapist Eligible Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
Obtain license for Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice within 3 months of hire or transfer.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Specific certifications as required (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP).
