Nuclear Medicine physician job in California : Locums Radiology Nuclear Medicine PhysicianLocation : Long Beach, CaliforniaStart Date : October 27, 2025Duration : 3+ months (potential to extend or convert to perm)Coverage Type : Scheduled + On-Call (remote)Setting : Hospital-based, Onsite Days + Remote Call Schedule Details

  • Day Shifts :

MondayFriday, 8 AM 5 PM

  • Onsite required, but remote reading possible if no procedures scheduled
  • Call Coverage (Remote) :

    • Weeknights : 5 PM 8 AM

  • Weekends : 24-hour coverage from Saturday 8 AM to Monday 8 AM
  • Shift Commitment :

    • Full-time preferred

  • Will consider providers available for at least 1 week at a time
  • Open to locums-to-perm candidates

    • Clinical Volume & Procedures

  • Patients / Day : 1020
  • Procedures Include :

    • Lymphoscintigrams

  • Pediatric Nuclear Medicine studies
  • Nuclear therapies & special PET scans (PSMA, Dotatate)
  • PET / CT bone scans
  • Cardiac (heart), renal, and liver scans

    • Technology & Support

  • PACS : Carestream
  • EMR : Epic + Epic RIS
  • Support : 24 / 7 IT and reading room assistant support

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nuclear Medicine
  • Unrestricted California Medical License
  • California RML (Radiologic Materials License)
  • DEA & BLS certifications

    • Quick Summary

  • Duration : Minimum 3 months
  • Schedule : MF days onsite, night / weekend call is remote
  • License : Must already hold CA medical license & RML
  • Preference : Full-time, but 1-week blocks OK; locums-to-perm also considered
  • Volume : 1020 patients / day
  • Tech : EPIC, Carestream PACS
  • Procedures : Broad spectrum of nuclear imaging + therapies
