American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level II trauma setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care setting on the Occupational Therapy unitTreat a diverse patient population with varying diagnoses and functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairmentsDay shift, 8-hour shifts preferred (8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM), Monday through FridayWeekend rotation every 4-6 weeks, no on-call requiredElectronic charting using Epic EMREvaluate and design therapy treatment plans to help patients regain or maintain life skills and independenceProvide interventions and education for patients of all ages, addressing physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial needsDocument evaluations and modify therapeutic plans according to departmental guidelines and regulatory standardsMay supervise assistants, aides, and students as neededWork collaboratively with providers, case managers, family members, and others across the care continuumDepartment provides orientation with PT and OT preceptors and manager-led trainingDress code is grey scrubs or business casual attireAll clinicians must badge in and out at the facilityCandidates must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of the facilityReturning travelers must have ended prior employment at this health system at least 6 months before consideration\n \n Requirements\n
